Villa Alba is easily accessible from all points of Italy, and indeed Central Europe. In the first case, it is directly connected to the motorway A26 Genova-Gravellona Toce from the North. This is easily accessible from South Italy via Genova, or arriving from the North West (Torino, Cuneo etc ..) by the intersecting A4 TO-MI. Coming from the North East one follows first in direction of Varese Laghi, and then for Gravellona Toce. Travel along the A26 to the Arona exit, and continue, always straight. Above Ornavasso the A26 becomes the SS33, a divided road which one follows to the exit for Villadossola, or Domodossola, leading to the regional road 166. Entering Villadossola, take the road on the right following the signed indications for Valle Antrona, arriving in Montescheno after about five minutes, where the directions for Villa Alba are clearly signed.
Those coming from central Europe, entering Italy from either the Sempione or Ponte Ribellasca Pass on the Swiss border, proceed towards Milano, reaching the SS33. Take the exit for Domodossola or Villadossola, then continue to follow the directions as given above.
For those preferring to travel by train, trains between Roma, Venezia and Milano, and Basel, Paris and Bruxelles, all stop at Domodossola (Rome, Venice, Milan and Basel, Paris and Brussels).
